Read the Bible

If you are ready to be baptized, please fill out the form at the bottom of this page.

Once you’ve surrender your life to Christ, it is so important to grow in your relationship with Him. Christians should read and study the Bible because it is God’s Word to us. The Bible is literally “God-breathed” (2 Timothy 3:16). In other words, it is God’s very words to us. You might have a lot of questions about God, Jesus, and your faith. You are not alone – there are so many questions that philosophers have asked that God answers for us in Scripture.

What is the purpose to life? Where did I come from? Is there life after death? How do I get to heaven? Why is the world full of evil? Why do I struggle to do good?

In addition to these “big” questions, the Bible gives much practical advice in areas such as: What do I look for in a mate? How can I have a successful marriage? How can I be a good friend? How can I be a good parent? What is success and how do I achieve it? How can I change? What really matters in life? How can I live so that I do not look back with regret? How can I handle the unfair circumstances and bad events of life victoriously?

The Bible is the primary way God speaks to us today.  Its message is inspired, and brings needed hope, encouragement and correction to our lives (2 Tim. 3:16).  For a list of all the benefits of God’s word see Psalm 19 and 119

Download the Bible to your computer, iPad, kindle or mobile device and read it or listen to it daily. Meditating on God’s Word brings His blessing (Joshua 1:8).

If you look in a bookstore or a library, you might notice a dizzing array of Bibles available to use and translations to choose from. It is normal to feel overwhelmed by the choices – we were in the same place at one time. Our church is filled with some people who likes to read, and others who do not understand the Bible. Take your time to look for and purchase a good study Bible. There are also plenty of websites and phone apps which will allow you to read God’s Word without a physical Bible.

If you download our Table Church app (coming soon!), you will find an English Bible for you to read in the app.

Can’t read English well, or prefer to “see” the Bible in American Sign Language? Download the Deaf Bible app on your phone or tablet here (this free app is available in Android and iOS stores).

Prefer to use websites to read God’s Word? Try Bible Gateway or Deaf.Bible websites for a start.
