“Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.” (Philippians 2:5–8, ESV)

Jesus, the Son of God, had every right to demand glory and honor, yet He chose humility. He became a servant, lived among the broken, and surrendered Himself on the cross for our salvation. His humility was not weakness— it was love in action. Lent is a time to reflect on this selfless love. Jesus calls us to follow His example, to put others before ourselves, and to seek not power but service. True humility is not thinking less of ourselves but thinking of ourselves less.

Challenge: How can you live humbly today? Who can you serve or bless with a humble heart?

Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your incredible humility. Help me to follow Your example by living humbly and serving others with a Christlike heart. Amen.
